Dr. Annette Kendall

University Of Missouri Associate Teaching Professor

Neurodivergence at Work: Shifting from ‘Fit In’ to ‘Thrive’

In this talk, Annette shares what it’s really like to be neurodivergent in professional environments and why it matters for organizations to get this right. She’ll talk about:

  • How her own story as an autistic professional has shaped her career
  • The hidden strengths neurodivergent people bring to technical and problem-solving fields
  • Common challenges such as communication gaps, unspoken workplace rules, and rigid processes that can hold people back
  • Simple, practical ways colleagues and leaders can create environments where neurodivergent talent isn’t just accommodated, but empowered

Her message is honest, a little quirky, and full of stories that will help you see neurodivergence in a new light.
