Join us for a thought-provoking presentation and engaging discussion as we consider answers to that question. Breck Washam will draw from his experience as a Professional Engineer and involvement in organizations like NSPE and MSPE to explore the past, present, and future of engineering, engineering licensure, and NSPE - and the resulting impact on YOU and the health, safety, and welfare of our society and our world.

Breck's Biography
Breck Washam, PE, F.NSPE, is a Senior Vice President and Midwest Regional Manager for Burns & McDonnell. After graduating with a B.S. Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology (MS&T) in Rolla in 1990, Breck joined Burns & McDonnell and has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout his nearly 35-year career. Since being selected to lead the St. Louis region in 2007 he has grown operations to over 450 employee-owners (in St. Louis and in Columbus and Akron, Ohio), delivering high-quality solutions for clients across the Central and Upper Midwest. Under his leadership, Burns & McDonnell has consistently been recognized in St. Louis as a top workplace, a healthiest employer, a leading philanthropic firm and one of the largest engineering firms. Breck is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Missouri and is currently NSPE’s National Vice President and has served as Past President of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers, at both the state level and the St. Louis Chapter.
