Annual Convention Highlights

MSPE’s 2008 Annual Convention themed “Gather At the Gateway To Bold Ideas” was acclaimed for providing “good topics, good variety, good quality of speakers, and good content of presentations,” from attendee reviews of the event held June 19-21, 2008 at the Sheraton Westport Plaza Tower Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri.  The professional program sessions focused on new trends in engineering education, alternative energy sources, the transportation crisis and the aging infrastructure of our highways and bridges plus electric, gas, water, and sewer utilities, emerging aerospace technology and green issues including LEED and sustainable design plus bold ideas in personal leadership skills. Coupled with the PDH programs were business meetings, social events and the yearly awards banquet. A slide show of pictures from the convention events appears above. If you’re missed this year’s convention, mark your calendar now to join the fun at the 2009 Annual Convention from June 21-24 at the Radisson Branson Hotel, Branson, Missouri.
