St. Louis Chapter Food Drive - Thank You!
The St. Louis Chapter of MSPE has been operating under
a Constitution and Bylaws that were last updated in 1996. Led by
NSPE, the MSPE State Society has eliminated its Constitution component
and is now governed by a set of Bylaws. In order to align the Chapter,
we wish to propose the same. Moreover, in the course of 15 years,
it is customary for culture and technology to change the approach
of managing an organization. Therefore, the St. Louis Chapter has
made several cosmetic changes to the existing bylaws which meet
the needs of the 21st century and conform to the by-laws of NSPE
and those adopted by MSPE in June, 2009.
Electronic ballots, email correspondence, the elimination
of the office of President-Elect (combined with Vice-President)
as well as other changes can be found in the draft version of the

blue items are to be added). In order for the Chapter to complement
the members and work effectively, it is important to have your comments.
Please contact any of the officers listed on the front cover of
the newsletter or on the home page of the St. Louis Chapter webpage,
via email or phone. It is the intent of the Chapter to submit the
draft Bylaws to the State society for their approval at the late
January 2010 Board Meeting. Pending State Board approval, a ballot
will be issued to the membership to dissolve the Constitution. Moving
forward, Bylaws will be amended by the Board of Directors, thus
streamlining the organization.
